Our Heavy duty range has a very rigid saddle due to the third support at the base of the gearbox, giving the same support as a lathe with twice the bed width. It also incorporates joystick control with rapids.

Our Semi-Heavy and Heavy Duty lathes are built for the most demanding environments with centre distances up to 10 metres, while maintaining complete accuracy.

Model AM-650HD

Main features include:
Induction hardened and ground one-piece beds
Easily selectable spindle speeds in geometric progression
Headstock gears are case hardened and 'Reishauer' ground splined shafts which turn on anti-friction bearings. Spindle turns on pre-loaded, high precision taper roller bearings.
Universal gearbox is totally enclosed and provides a range of metric or imperial feeds and threads
